SERVING THOSE WHO SERVED US

Picture
In conjunction with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and Veteran Affairs, Hospice of Southwest Iowa participates in the We Honor Veterans Campaign. This campaign is "designed to empower hospice professionals to meet the unique needs of dying veterans". We recognize that while all individuals face death differently, veterans have specific needs that are not generally experienced by non-veterans.

Hospice of Southwest Iowa is also in the process of creating a Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program. We recognize the importance of providing all veterans with the opportunity to speak with those who understand their language.
